A homemade vanilla sugar adds a fragrant touch to your baked goods and desserts, infusing sweetness with rich vanilla flavor.

  • 800 g açúcar cristal (or any other type of sugar)
  • 2 favas fava de baunilha

Instructions 

  • Place sugar in a container with a lid.
  • Cut vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape seeds. Mix seeds into sugar thoroughly.
  • Add vanilla beans to sugar, covering them.
  • Seal and store in a dry, dark place for at least 2 weeks.
  • Process part of the sugar with vanilla beans in a blender until pulverized, then mix back with the rest.
  • Store in a sealed container.
