Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour (enriched wheat flour)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable fat (hydrogenated)
  • 1/2 cup milk powder (full fat)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk serum powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable fat
  • 1/2 cup skim milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon malt extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon emulsifier
  • 1 teaspoon soy lecithin
  • 1 teaspoon polyglycerol polyricinoleate
  • 1/2 teaspoon flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
  • 1/4 teaspoon carmine colorant (natural red dye)

Instructions 

  • Mix dry ingredients and add fats, milk powder, and cocoa butter. Combine well.
  • Add liquids and emulsifiers, then knead into a smooth dough.
  • Shape into pieces and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
