Instructions
Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and melt the sugar.
Stir occasionally until the sugar turns amber.
Add the cream, vanilla, and yeast extract (if using), then reduce heat and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Remove from heat and transfer to a container. Cool to thicken.
Notes
Store in a sealed container; it will thicken as it cools.
