A rich and creamy dessert combining the classic French crème brûlée with the sweet, caramel flavor of Brazilian doce de leite.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F). Prepare a water bath and set aside.
Heat milk until small bubbles form, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat, add cream, and mix well.
Add doce de leite and stir until fully dissolved.
Whisk in egg yolks just until combined, avoid creating foam.
Add vanilla extract, if using, and mix gently.
Divide mixture into ramekins, place in water bath, and bake for 40-45 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
Cool, then refrigerate for 6-8 hours or overnight.
Before serving, sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a torch for a crispy top.
Notes
Ensure the water bath is hot before placing the ramekins to prevent cracking.
