A delightful frozen twist on the classic crème brûlée, combining creamy sorbet with caramelized sugar for a unique dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 150 g sorbet (desired flavor)
  • 1 unit egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for caramelizing)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F) and boil 2 liters of water for a water bath.
  • Melt sorbet in microwave for 20 seconds and stir until smooth.
  • Add egg yolk and mix well. Pour into ramekins.
  • Place ramekins in a baking dish and add hot water to create a water bath.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until set. Cool for 20 minutes, then refrigerate at least 6 hours.
  • Sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a torch just before serving.

Notes

Ensure sugar is evenly distributed for a uniform caramelization.
