A delicious Brazilian snack featuring chewy tapioca cubes with cheesy flavor, perfect for frying and serving with a spicy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500 g tapioca granulada
  • 500 g queijo coalho (ralado)
  • 1 L leite integral
  • 1 L óleo vegetal (para fritar, quanto necessário)
  • a gosto Sal refinado
  • Pimenta branca Pimenta branca

Instructions 

  • Misture tapioca and grated cheese.
  • Heat milk to boiling.
  • Add tapioca and cheese gradually, stirring constantly.
  • Adjust salt and add white pepper.
  • Line a mold with plastic wrap and pour mixture inside.
  • Cool, then refrigerate for 2 hours until firm.
  • Cut into 3cm cubes.
  • Fry in 180-190°C oil until golden, then drain.
  • Serve with spicy sauce.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough before frying for best results.
