A delightful layered dessert combining fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and crispy meringue in elegant verrines.

Ingredients

Dairy

  • 0.75 cup heavy cream (40% fat, fresh or pasteurized)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (impalpable or regular)

Fruits

  • 1.5 cups fresh strawberries, chopped

Crispy Meringue

  • 1.4 oz mini meringue or broken normal meringue

Flavoring

  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Hygienically prepare strawberries, removing leaves and chopping.
  • Layer in glasses: start with some meringue, add whipped cream, then strawberries. Repeat layers.
  • Finish with strawberries or meringue for decoration. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Notes

Prepare just before serving to prevent strawberries from releasing water.
