A smoky and spicy sauce made with roasted green tomatoes and chipotle peppers, perfect to add heat and flavor to your dishes.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 300 g tomate verde
  • 2 units pimenta chipotle morita
  • 0.25 cup Água (fervente) (hot water for soaking)
  • 1 tsp sal refinado

Instructions 

  • Toast pimentas in a skillet over medium-high heat until fragrant (~2-3 min), then transfer to a bowl.
  • Cover pimentas with boiling water and let soak for 30 minutes.
  • Toast tomatoes until charred spots appear.
  • Blend roasted tomatoes and soaked pimentas (only peppers) until smooth (~4 min).
  • Add salt to taste.

Notes

Adjust salt and water for desired consistency and flavor.
