A delicious Brazilian treat combining passion fruit and cookies into a sweet, chewy bar.

Ingredients

Dairy

  • 395 g leite condensado (1 lata/caixa)
  • 100 mL suco de maracujá concentrado
  • 20 g manteiga sem sal

Cookies

  • 200 g bolacha maisena (usei a versão mini)
  • 200 g açúcar refinado

Instructions 

  • Break the cookies into smaller pieces if using regular size.
  • Line a 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper and lightly oil it.
  • Cook condensed milk, passion fruit juice, and butter over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until it starts to pull away from the pan.
  • Immediately mix in the cookie pieces to prevent curdling.
  • Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  • Allow to cool for about 45 minutes.
  • Remove from pan, peel off parchment, and cut into 1.5x1.5 inch pieces.
  • Roll each piece in the sugar to coat.
  • Store in an airtight container.
