Ingredients

Yeast

  • 10 g fermento biológico seco instantâneo

Sugar

  • 70 g açúcar cristal

Liquid

  • 360 mL leite integral (morno)

Eggs

  • 2 units ovos

Oil

  • 120 mL óleo vegetal

Flour

  • 500 g farinha de trigo (+ ~200g para dar o ponto/sovar)

Salt

  • 6 g sal refinado

Egg (for glazing)

  • 1 unit ovo (batido para pincelar; opcional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare baking pans with butter and flour, line bases with parchment paper.
  • Mix yeast, sugar, and warm milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs and oil; mix well.
  • Add 500g flour gradually, mixing until sticky.
  • Add remaining 200g flour gradually, knead for 5-8 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and ferment until doubled (45-60 min).
  • Punch down, shape into desired form, and place in pans.
  • Brush with beaten egg. Let rise for 40-45 min.
  • Bake at 220°C for 10 min, then reduce to 180°C and bake for 15-20 min.

Notes

Ensure dough is kneaded well for a soft texture.
