Delightful scones combining the sweetness of blueberries and white chocolate, perfect for breakfast or tea time.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (at room temperature)
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)

Add-ins

  • 50 grams blueberries (dried)
  • 50 grams white chocolate (chopped)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare a baking sheet with oil or butter and dust with flour.
  • Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  • Add blueberries and white chocolate, mixing well.
  • Whisk milk and egg, then gradually add to dry mixture until dough forms.
  • On a floured surface, roll dough to 1.5cm thick. Cut into circles or triangles.
  • Place on baking sheet, brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
  • Serve warm with butter or jam.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the dough to keep scones tender.
