A delicious Brazilian treat featuring soft, fried dough filled with creamy dulce de leche and topped with powdered sugar.
Ingredients
Yeast and liquids

instant dry yeast

whole milk (warm)
Dry ingredients

Instructions
Mix yeast with warm milk and 1/3 of the flour. Let sit.
Combine remaining ingredients with yeast mixture, knead until smooth. Let rise for 20 minutes.
Roll out dough to 1cm thick, cut into 5cm circles. Let rise for 25 minutes.
Deep fry until golden, drain on paper towels. Cool slightly.
Whip heavy cream to soft peaks, fold in dulce de leche. Chill.
Cut pastries in half, fill with dulce de leche mixture, dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Ensure oil is at proper temperature to avoid burning the outside while keeping the inside soft.
