  • 3 units eggs (can be cold)
  • 0.5 cup sugar (cristal sugar)
  • 1.05 cup milk (desnatado or integral, can be cold)
  • 0.75 cup oil (vegetal)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt (refined)
  • 1.75 cup fubá (mimoso)
  • 1.05 cup flour (trigo)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder (químico em pó)
  • 0.3 cup guava paste (cubed)
  • 3.4 tablespoons water

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix eggs, sugar, milk, oil, and salt until smooth.
  • Add fubá, flour, and baking powder; stir until well combined.
  • Pour batter into greased baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the guava syrup by heating guava paste with water until melted. Drizzle over cooled cake.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the cake rest for a few hours before serving.
